First we put toilet paper into a big tub of water:

Next, we added colored tissue paper. I wouldn't recommend using pink and yellow. It turns out looking like the contents of a throw-up bucket.... just so you know.Next, we stirred and mixed, and stirred and mixed. And stirred and mixed. For days. Until I started wondering if it was possible for paper pulp to get moldy...
After it was niiiiiiice and pulpy, we smooshed it onto a little screen... that was fun, wet and full of delightful textures....Then, we let the paper pulp dry on newspaper for a few days....
And voila! paper!
We ended up tracing everyone's hands, painting it and sending it home for a little handprint wall hanging.
Cute project. Thanks for the inspiration, Filth Wizardry!
How fantastic! It's so great to see all the kidletts enjoying the squelchy mess! Very cool that you sent them home with something to go on the wall too.
