Every spring the local pool empties out the water to scrub, clean and paint. On the day before the pools are emptied, there is a fundraiser event for the local humane society called "the Poochie Paddle".
In the last few hours that the pools are opened, the people are kicked out and the dogs are let in, paying an entrance fee that goes directly to the Humane Society.
It's a great fundraiser and a lot of fun. The dogs seem to like it too. Because Jenny is not a swimming dog, we take Gramma's dog, Babes.
