Meet Carlito

 Carlito is a 15 year old Peruvian Paso gelding that was discovered starving to death and extremely neglected this week in my county.  My friend is a horse vet and she discovered Carlito on Wednesday and immediately took action to remove poor Carlito from the horrific conditions that were killing him.  The idea of starving to death while trying to survive outside in a Colorado winter is haunting me.  This animal has suffered. And it is a human's fault.  This kind of carelessness and thoughtless disregard for life causes me endless sadness at the human race.  We are so cruel. 

So, I've decided to help in some small way, to help Carlito have a better life.  Currently Carlito is recovering at Sydney Peak Ranch until he is well enough to travel to Mountain Valley Horse Rescue in the Eagle valley.  He needs donations to cover his recovery expenses.  So I am supporting a fundraising effort that has been started to cover these expenses.  Please donate money!
