Colorado National Monument

We drove four hours to deliver Gramma's bike to her for Ride the Rockies,

a seven day Colorado bike tour. And my friend who we were going to stay with cancelled at the last minute...

So, I threw the camping stuff in the back of the van and we camped.

At Colorado National Monument.

What a hidden gem!

The campground was gorgeous, small and filled with families...

there were other kids around for Adi and Theo to play with.

The views were spectacular...

The hiking trails were great for kids!

We were in the DESERT!!!!!

My kids got to experience the thrill of scaling standstone like spiderman... (and loved it)

and the best part of all?

Theo wants to be a Park Ranger now when he grows up... before it was either a Marine or a Police Officer. Being a pacifist, I am thrilled with this new development.
